Caught on the John by John

Published by Eric on December 13, 2006 11:36 am under Funny, Geek Stuff, General

Since all the new Apple laptop computers come with a built in webcam, some companies have come up with some pretty cool anti-theft systems for laptops. A company call Orbicule is one such company with a kind of low-jack system for you laptop.

Well they love to publish some of their recovery stories on their site. This one is one of the odder type stories. So what happens is when a client calls and tells orbicule that their system has been stolen they activate their software. One of the things their software does is start to take pictures of whoever is using the computer.

This dumb a** thief got his picture taken while he was trying to take care of some of his own personal business in the bathroom. Now I am about as geeky as they come but I never understood why people took their laptop with then into the bathroom.
